How should you clean an oriental rug?
A real Persian lasts for hundreds of years. Also in the children’s room, in front of the cellar bar, in the anteroom and in the dog house. The latter also depends on the dog.

Every wisdom claims to be the only true one when it comes to cleaning a Persian carpet. There are reports of knocking out the snow, of vacuuming the carpet too often over time, literally vacuuming the carpet, and other adventurous theories as well.
The fascinating thing about a real carpet is that it is an object of art and utility in one. Therefore it needs (almost) no special treatment.
A conventional vacuum cleaner is a real carpet’s best friend. Apart from ordinary house dust, it only loosens a fraction of the fibers that have long since ceased to be stuck. This means that the knotted pattern appears even clearer and richer in contrast.
Professional Persian carpet cleaning
For domestic use, a little special treatment should be given every 7-10 years in the form of a thorough wash. Because the unavoidable house dust settles in its finest form in the carpet foundation and accelerates the wear and tear of the carpet through an emery paper effect. To avoid this, the carpet should be properly cleaned, as offered by a few specialist shops – and of course by us too.

Spot removal on a real Persian
Red wine on the carpet? No problem as long as it is a Persian carpet.
The real carpet also differs from less exciting knots in that the wool has been dyed particularly gently.
In this way, the fat on the sheep’s wool, the lanolin, is preserved. That is why it is hardly possible to add permanent dirt to the carpet.
However, it is important to quickly soak the area that has been hit by red wine, sugo or the like with lukewarm water.
Then push it out in quick movements with a tablespoon in the direction of the stroke on a ready-made absorbent cloth.
For more stubborn stains, rub some gall soap over it and repeat the cleaning process.
